About this 4k uhd smart tv
TCL 98C8L 98-Inch SQD-Mini LED Google TV
Product Description
The TCL 98C8L is a premium 98-inch SQD-Mini LED 4K Google TV built for customers who want an exceptionally large screen without compromising on picture quality, brightness, colour accuracy or gaming performance.
With its enormous 98-inch 4K Ultra HD display, the TCL 98C8L is designed to turn a large living room, home cinema or entertainment space into an immersive viewing environment. The TV combines SQD-Mini LED technology, Super QLED, a WHVA 2.0 Ultra Panel and 4,032 precise local-dimming zones to deliver high contrast, bright highlights and detailed dark scenes. TCL rates the 98C8L for up to 6,000 nits peak HDR brightness and up to 100% BT.2020 colour gamut under specified test conditions.
The 144Hz native refresh rate makes the 98C8L particularly attractive for sports and gaming, where smooth motion matters. Its HDMI 2.1 connectivity supports 4K at 144Hz with VRR, while AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Auto Low Latency Mode help provide a more responsive gaming experience. TCL also specifies support for a 288Hz VRR Game Accelerator under compatible conditions.
For smart entertainment, the TCL 98C8L runs on Google TV, with Google Assistant, built-in Chromecast and access to popular streaming services. The TV also supports hands-free voice control through its built-in microphone, subject to regional availability and software support.
Audio is another major part of the C8L experience. The TV features 200W audio output with Bang & Olufsen sound, alongside Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual, providing substantially more powerful integrated sound than a basic television speaker system.
The result is a flagship-sized television aimed at customers who want a genuine big-screen cinema experience at home, with advanced Mini LED picture technology, premium audio, smart features and high-refresh-rate gaming capabilities.
